When watching a video using the GBPVR gui (Video Library) on my pc, if I press fastforward[Ctrl-F] the video plays back at a faster rate, with no sound. If I then press play[Ctrl-P] to return to normal speed, the video returns to normal, but there is no audio. If I press rewind [Ctrl-D], the audio mutes, but it continues to play forward at normal speed. To get the audio back, I must exit the player back to the file browser, then restart the video. Skip forward 60 seconds [Ctrl-[Right Arrow]], or Skip back 60 seconds [Ctrl-[Left Arrow]] work as expected, as long as I don't first press fastforward or rewind.

I've upgraded to 97.13, and it still does this. It's no big deal to me, as I normally use Mediplayer Classic or VLC to watch stuff on my pc, but I just thought I'd mention it, in case it helps you to improve GB-PVR.

I too get this exact problem

skip forward/backward works fine, but if fast forward/rewind is pressed, when video resumes playback there is no audio. no biggie really as skip forwar/backward is ultimately more useful. still, kinda odd

I am experiencing this problem also, with the latest release, 98.13.

When playing either a video recording or DVD, going from FF/RW back to play causes complete loss of audio, which can only be restoring by stopping play and restarting. Going from Pause back to play causes no problem.

This is quite annoying, since FF/RW is a pretty basic function, and on the Remote Wonder Plus that I am using, there doesn't appear to be any key mapped to the skip functions.

Thanks,
Don P.

I'm also having the same issue. In fact, I've had this though the last 4 versions. Personally, I just disabled the FF/RW keys on my remote, as I thought it was a quirk with my PVR-USB2 tuner. I now have an Adaptec tuner and the problem remains.

At this point I'm interested in getting this working. I thought I was the only one!

There has few people that have had this problem right since the very first release of GB-PVR. I'm not sure why, but I havnt really spent any time looking into it. It doesnt do it for me.

Has anyone had any luck getting this to work and if so, what codec did you use?

Hauppauge PVR-250 - latest 250 drivers from Hauppauge. I have tried the InterVideo and nVidia pure video codecs, with the nVidia worse than Intervideo.

However, I have seen several posts about getting the pure video codecs to cooperate, so I might try some of those suggestions.
