Sorry if this is already posted somewhere else. Wondering if there were any 'All-in-one' remotes that will work with the MVP? I am wanting to consolidate all controls into one and can't find much documentation on this issue.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I have a couple of One-For-All URC-8910s that I got from TheRobman (Rob) over at the JP1 forum. They work quite well with MVP if you are willing to use a JP1 cable or modem to upgrade them (see the JP1 forum if you aren't familiar with this). My one complaint with the 8910s is that they seem to be eating batteries fairly quickly... this is only an initial observation that I haven't confirmed. There is also a thread on this forum (search for 8910) that discusses this a bit.

I use the One-For All URC-10820 wich supports the Hauppage nativley, however it doesn't have the color keys. but for general use it does what I need.

This one supports 10 devices and has an unlit keypad so it doesn't eat batteries. As for JP1 support, It has a JP1.2 connector which is getting close to be programmed from a pc. (It's different than the JP1.0 standard)

My third universal remote is definitely the keeper. It is a Harmony 688. It works a bit differently from 'normal' remotes but it can even be worked by my wife! (high recommendation!!). I recommend you do some research on Harmonies.

I also have a One-For-All URC-9910 (basically an 8910) that I programmed the Hauppauge remote into using JP1. I'm using an OLD URC-6800 (JP1 programmable also) for that room right just because it was lying around.

For the price and flexibility you will have a HARD time finding a better remote than the 8910 or 9910.

The device file was posted to this wiki by my so just search for my listings and you will find it.

I recently upgraded my remote with the extender that is available for the 8910. Now I have full control over all the keys. Even the device keys at the top are programmable Smile. Talk about a WAF. One button sets up everything (TV ON, RECEIVER ON, GBPVR comes out of screen saver mode).

The battery observation is possibly true. I've just noticed that the year I've only replaced the batteries once (last week in fact). My guess is it may be related to the learning mode? I also have not tried to see if I can adjust the backlight time with the extender yet (the batteries have not been an issue for me yet), the device keys not being progammable was the key issue!
