My GB-PVR is newly installed, and just refuses to beleieve that any channels have been set up for my hardware. I'm using an AF9005 USB Device, and Windows reports no problems with the drivers off the CD. I've changed the thingymajig int the bda.ini file to read:

[AF9005 BDA Device DVB-T USB]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=AF9005 BDA Tuner Filter
FILTER_CAPTURE=AF9005 BDA Capture Filter
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I've set the EPG Source to map only BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel4 (I'm in the UK, obviously), and then I click the "Updage EPG" button on the "Edit Recourding Source" page, and it takes a while and then gives me the 4 channels in the relevent box in the same page. This is where it starts going wrong/weird.

The checkbox "Enabled" is unchecked for each of the four channels, so I try to tick the boxes, and then click OK. When I open up the edit page again, the checkboxes are cleared. Also, when I go to the "Channels" tab in the main configure program, they're all there.

So, what's going on? Any help?

Try running the ReRegisterFilters.bat file.

If its still not working, try running the utility from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=17633 to see if it finds any channels.

Thankuyou for your advice. The ReRegisterFilters.bat file doesnt appear to help. I am running the utility now, to find channels.

Unfortunately, that program to find the channels keeps crashing my machine, and restarting it :S

Sounds like you're probably going to be out of luck.

Try the scan in GB-PVR again, then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if there is anything obvious happening.

What logs do you need, and where can I find them?

You need to post the logs after you done a scan. The log file is overwritten each time you start the config app. In this particular log, you did not initiate a scan by clicking on the 'map digital channels to epg channels button'.

Well, when I click on THAT particular button, it says sacnning through 1 of 57to 57 of 57, and doesnt bring up anything obviously correct. Then it says "No channels found. Please check your settings". My TV-Dongle is attached and recognised by XP, and the cable from the ariel on the roof is going into it.

Ok, so now that you've clicked that button, post the logs again. THAT button is only way you're going to get any channels. It is a required step for DVB-T.
