I currently have Nvidia GeForce 4000, 128mb.

I was at at a Computer store and was talked into upgrading to the GeForce 6200, 256mb. The guy said, " with tv watching, doubling the onboard ram will make fast motions work noticeably different."

I was excited--always had some blurring issues when it came to fast motion! I installed it and the result? Not an ounce of difference--at least not a difference that my eye can see.

I'm using s-video output.

So, I think if I were using some different kinds of output to a nicer TV (i just have a standard TV with analog cable), maybe there will be the noticeable difference.

So until I get that nice TV, i'm just gonna stick to the video card i've had.
If you want to know why nPVR is the bomb, ask my wife!

I'd take the 6200 back if it were me. Obviously the sales guy was just trying to push product out the door and not take care of a customer.

Was it a true "256" card or one of the fabulous (sarcasm Wink ) newer cards that has "128" and can "share another 128" from system memory to get to "256". If its the latter... I have never seen great performance out them. For me a graphics card always did 2 things:
1) Provided far superior performace compared to onboard graphics.
2) Did not take away system ram for video.

BTW... welcome to forums!!!

Try using the 6200 with the nvidia purevideo decoder and see if that improves things it should. you can download a trail at nvidia.com
