ContourHC and Homeseer plugin

According to the contourHC docs there is support for the Homeseer plugin.

But when I run the Plugin I do not get an array of buttons, I just get s line of white text at the bottom of the screen that overlays as I use the up/down buttons. The text sits on top of the main menu screen test at the bottom of the screen - i.e. there is no separate screen displayed. In addition there is some random red lines in the extreme left of the screen overlaying the main menu buttons.

Is there a current skin for Homeseer?

I'll upload my version of the CoutourHC it's slightly different than the released version as i only use it on the MediaMVP and to my tastes it's more visible for that.

There are a few things that need to be setup in the config xml but davec did a very good job of documenting it all and that should have been included with the zip. Any troubles feel free to post. I'm not sure how much Dave gets on here and as far as i knew there were only the two of us using it. Welcome aboard. it works pretty well as at least a small link between the two.

As it stands right now i've tried it on the "stock" ContourHC as well as the BaseSkin with the Contour Theme applied. It does not even show up in the menu on the latter and I've already described the behavior with ContourHC.

So I guess I'll give it a try with your version and see how it goes. Thanks

FYI, it does not work for me in either ControurHC or BaseSkin.ContourBlue, I still get no new screen, and hte overlayed text.

I'll have to download the current skin for contourHC and see what i get as well. I've extensively modified it for so long, it's probably not anything at all like what the original was. Did it work for anyone on the standard blue?

Oh, one more thing, what version of the Homeseer plug in are you trying? I have a feeling that the version is one behind and may be why it's giving some trouble. I'm including version 1.4 which is the latest.

I have not tested this on the new versions 97.13 of GBpvr yet, I can't upgrade till i can get the MVP screensaver to stop, the wife would have me shot. I did briefly have 97.7 installed and it was working just fine with that, but i had to fall back because of complaints from the peanut gallery.

There is a fair amount of setup to this, especially with the buttons, in the config xml. Davec always did plan for a setup screen withing the config.exe but there never seemed to be enough interest in pursuing it further, being just the two of us using it and all.

I believe that is version 1.3, it had a small bug in it that got fixed and the current version is 1.4 and may not be here. I've atached newest version to the above message just in case.

I've just downloaded and installed the wiki version of ContourHC to see if perhaps things had been changed since last November, that I'd not realized. There were some yes, but aside from the screen title being off the screen a bit (easy to fix) it worked perfectly. Screenshot below.

I can only think that perhaps it was the older version of the Homeseer Plugin i talked about a message or two above that has caused some problems.

You might try Plain Jane. She has support for Home Seer and she has a Contour look-a-like skin, but as far as I know, she has no Home Seer users.

Actually, I'd try to bribe NIghtWalker into trying it first!
