Anyone have the oneforall code that will work with the MVP? I just tried this and it didn't work. I have the blue glowing original one with the 6 functions, and I want to have the MVP on as the video function!

Cheers!
Quote:Dear Mr. Powell,

Thank you for your e mail.
Although I have not been able to find a match for the model number you
mention, I recommend you try the codes Vid.Acc1408 and VCR1992. However, as
the necessary software is not in the memory of your One for All handset,
this can not be set up straight away and needs to be downloaded first.
Therefore, please call the Customer Services Helpline on 0808 1000 306 and
ask for the download of the codes mentioned above. If you have had any codes
downloaded into your One For All before, please make sure to mention this as
well. Please note that it is preferable to call us from a cord-connected,
landline telephone for best results. The upgrade has a limited success with
a mobile or a cordless phone. We are open Monday to Friday 9.00a.m. to
7.00p.m. and Saturday 9.00am. to 3.00p.m (UK time).

Kind Regards,

Ms. Michal Barnea

oops I should have searched the forum first. Sounds like this is not straightforward. I may just program each key one at a time...

I have an ALL for one remote.
I used the the JP1 port on mine to upload device codes for the mvp I got from the JP1 forum.
Look at here for more info:

Good luck.

cheers, i was wondering what jp1 was... reckon I might just learn the buttons one by one from the hauppauge remote as mine has the 6 holes so would need extra parts...

Don't know about your particular One For All (OFA) model but many tend to be limited on memory for learning so you might not be able to "train" all your keystrokes. JP1 tends to minimize this limitation but you do need to buy some parts & (sometimes) modify your remote. Another alternative would be to get another OFA remote that already has the features... I got my OFA 8910 from Rob over at the JP1 forum and it can be upgraded either via JP1 or via phone / PC audio... for $25 bucks it is hard to beat.

Good luck.

For some reason OFA decided to stop putting the JP1 connector on the 8910 and ship it with only the holes exposed. I wonder how much money they really save by doing this Sad.
In any case, there's some information on the JP1 forums about how to build a little adapter for the standard JP1 cable to give you pins to puch into those holes. The parts are all relatively cheap at your local electronics supply store.
The other option that I did with one of my older OFA remotes was to open it up, and take part of a HD connector (that I got at that elec. supply store and cut so it had 6 pins [I've got 74 extra pins lying around now]) and solder it into the holes.
I'm a novice at soldering and it was fairly simple. If your also a novice, then you might try asking nicely at that same store if someone could do it for you (or one of your friends).
Just make sure you solder the pins in correctly so they stick out the correct side of the motherboard. I didn't the first time and had to unsolder them of the board.
