I appologize if these questions have been asked before... I cannot see how I can search the forum and looked through about 10 pages of posts in the Support forum without seeing a similar problem...
I bought a Hauppauge WinTV PVR 250 and installed it under Win XP Pro and to verify that I did have all the drivers installed properly I installed WinTV 2000 and was able to watch and pause live TV (using Overlay Mode). I closed WinTV 2000 and installed GB-PVR and ran the Config.exe file to set up the options according to the "GB-PVR Quick Start" link off the main page. When GB-PVR initially ran it popped up a window indicating that my system did not support VMR9, so I selected "Overlay Manager" and now when selecting Live TV I get a primarily a black screen with a few very thin horizontal white lines and no audio. I haven't had a chance to play with the configuration too much, but I thought someone may be able to point me in the right direction.
The computer is slightly old, it is a P3 800MHz (I think) running on an AOpen MX3S motherboard using the onboard audio and video, 128MB RAM, and the Hauppage WinTV-PVR-250 (with remote). My guess it that it is some sort of issues with the Intel 815E/815EG Integrated Video but I can't be sure...
Also, I could not seem to get the Hauppauge Remote to work with GB-PVR... It worked fine when I was using WinTV 2000, but in GB-PVR the only button that I could get to work was the maximize window button (The Hauppage IR/Remote drivers were installed). I was able to navigate the menus using the mouse though...
Thanx in advance for your help!!
Cheers,
Woody
