See my sig for specifics.

Sorry if this is answered somewhere already but I can't seem to find much regarding direct channel access.

As well as my system is working, I continue to fine tune. One problem I'm still having is when watching 'Live TV' on the MVP, my MVP remote won't let me access a channel with the num-pad on the remote that's more than a single digit. i.e. if I press 6 on the num-pad the GBPVR/MVP OSD shows a 6 and goes to channel 6 but if I press 1 then 6 (channel 16), GBPVR/MVP OSD shows a 1 then the 1 is replaced with a 6 then it goes to channel 6. It seems as though the system only sees the last single number pressed.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Thats strange. It should. Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log?

Sub, here's the file you requested.

Basically I started the MPV, selected to view 'Live TV' which was previously left on channel 6 which the Live TV reverted to.

Then I did the following few steps,
Channel down - went to channel 5
Channel down - went to channel 4
Numpad 6 - went to channel 6
Numpad 16 - stayed on channel 6 (note I saw the 1 and 6 on the OSD)
Numpad 26 - stayed on channel 6 (note I saw the 2 and 6 on the OSD)

Here's the file

I'll look at the logs in a few minutes, but one question first. If you re-enable the 'force minimal OSD for MVP' setting, does it work as you expect?

Sub, as you requested, I tried re-enabling 'force minimal OSD for MVP' and it had no effect on the issue. While I was testing though, I unchecked 'Fully transparent OSD' and it began working. Just to validate, I re-checked 'Fully transparent OSD' and it failed again.

I now have 'Fully transparent OSD' unchecked and it's working fine.

BTW, I can't visually tell one way or the other if 'Fully transparent OSD' does anything on screen? What should it do?

Thanks

Normally it'll change channels are a short period of time since your last button press. I'm guessing it thinks its waited long enough, and doesnt think you're going to type any more numbers.

Yes, I've tried the button pressing speed scenario... I generally press a two digit channel combo as fast as my thumb will move and had no luck. I tried slowing the button presses too, thinking I was pressing them too quickly. That didn't work either. Now with 'Fully transparent OSD' disabled, things are working fine. I can press the two digits relatively fast or slow and it doesn't matter as both digits are always displayed on-screen and the tuner switches channels properly. I can't argue with success but I can still ponder the why.

I'm still not sure what the 'Fully transparent OSD' function does since my OSD appears equally transparent with it enabled or disabled.

Thanks sub.

I am unable to change the channel at all with the number keys on my remote. It's not a disaster as I can always use the TV Guiide to go to another channel but it would be satisfying to get them working. The log file shows the following:

21/08/2006 18:40:21.686 VERBOSE [9] User pressed: 3
21/08/2006 18:40:21.686 VERBOSE [9] MVP request processed
21/08/2006 18:40:21.706 VERBOSE [12] MVP async queue handling key: 3
21/08/2006 18:40:21.706 VERBOSE [12] No key mapping found for: D2

Any ideas what the problem might be?
