After a fairly long research on the web, I finially narrowed down to mediaMVP and BG-PVR as the potential streaming media solution in my house.

I've read most of the content on this website and almost all the older posts. One question I still have is what is the user interface presented on TV by mediaMVP when it is talking to BG-PVR? is it something built in mediaMVP, or does it simply channel through the BG-PVR interface? any screenshot with mediaMVP would be helpful.

Thanks

The same GB-PVR interface is shown on the PC or PVR350 or MVP. You can see some screenshots on the front page - http://www.gbpvr.com

Thank, sub, for the reply.

This is really great. I was afraid of the mediaMVP would impose its own interface on the TV. The GB-PRV interface is great!

Off I go to buy a MVP to try out...

Well, another question: I've got the MVP today, and tested it out with the hauppauge software. It works. However, I could not get it find the GBPVR server. What are the steps to connect to BGPVR server? I can't seem to find any documentation on it. Pardon me if I missed it. a little too excited...

After you have the standard Hauppauge software running and their menu is on the screen, put the MVP in standby by pressing the green power button. Then stop the Hauppauge server and start the GBPVR MediaMVP server. Then wakeup the MVP by pressing the power button again and you should get the GBPVR menu.
