PVR350 - size tv out

Hi there,

i have just installed winxp an gbpvr - great job - thanks for this great software - before I have worked about two weeks to get mythtv running, uahh!

Does anyone knows how to adjust the size of the tv-out of an pvr350? It is a little bit too small for my tv, and a bit too left?

Any ideas?

Or ist the better way to purchase an nice graphics card with tv out?

There are settings for 350 tv-out in config.xml.

You might want to do some searching on the forum before changing them.

where is the best place to change the settings for the Hauppauge 150 as I always have a 2cm black border across the bottom of the screen.

It would be really good to remove or even lessen the border

The 150 doesn't have a TV out so I assume you are using your graphics card for the TV out...

I think you'll need to look at the overscan settings in config.xml

Correct, but the defaults (all zeros) are as big as GB-PVR can draw the picture. These are settings are typically used for making it smaller. In this case, if your picture isnt big enough, you'll need to look at your video card settings.

My god what wasx I smoking when I asked about TV-Out on my 150MCE :-)

What is interesting is the comment from sub, so if I understand this correctly the best way to optimise this is to enable overscan on my graphics card which I dont currently as it makes it far too big for the TV and I hate missing bits off screen, and then to use config.xml overscan settings to tighten the size back to the size that exactly fits my TV.

If only this could be done in realtime, I am guessing that config.xml is only read on GBPVR application startup?

I had the same problem. This settings are perfect for PAL:

<PVR350OffsetY>0</PVR350OffsetY>
