I installed the patch in order to delete some failed recordings from my machine. Shortly thereafter, I began to notice GBPVR crashing, not recording sound, and recording only 10-20 minutes of hour long shows. All of these symptoms are seemingly at random and for no apparent reason. I would attach my log files if I knew how... I LOVED GBPVR before the patch, but I think that may be a coincidence.

HELP!!

OK, I'm a little sheepish, I did a tad of looking and immediately found out how to attach logs... Here they are. I would greatly appreciate it if someone would take a peek! Big Grin

Actually, I think the same thing happened to me, not sure though, sometimes my recordings record no data also. I thought it was funny as I don't really change anything on my PVR system drive. I do remember installing the patch though. It's the randomness that does my head in more than anything. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Thats a bit vague, and gives me nothing concrete to look for in your logs.

Next time one of these strange things happen, make a post giving the details of what exactly happened, and attach the logs. Give me as many relevent details as you can. For example, if it relates to a recording, give details like the name of the show, and the time it was supposed to start/stop etc.

Alright sub, I have a specific example. I recorded "The Ultimate Fighter" this morning at 2am. It recorded the correct length and plays back perfectly on Windows Media Player. However, GBPVR plays no sound and freezes within a minute of starting playback. It must be shut down using the task manager. I have attached logs.

Thanks!

There is one strange thing in your logs when you try to plau back this Ultimate Fighter video. There seems to be two audio decoder being used.
Quote:11:12:43.812 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - Video Renderer 0004
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - AC3Filter
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - App Overlay Source
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - CyberLink Video/SP Decoder
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - CyberLink Audio Decoder
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
11:12:43.812 VERBOSE - C:\Documents and Settings\Elias Martin\My Documents\My Recordings\The Ultimate Fighter\The Ultimate Fighter_20060824_22002300.m
Its hard to tell which of these two audio decoders is at fault, but I'd maybe try uninstalling AC3Filter. This has caused similar problems for some users in the past.
