I have just installed 98.08 and it looks good, but I get this for TV Listings. It would be good to get a quick fix for this one as it IS a show stopper. Of course it could be my configuration, but it is with the 9808 skin unchanged.

Hopefully
Mel.

Sorry, I hadn't spotted the support thread. (I can move over ther if you like.)

However, have downloaded the latest, put all the files in the right place, verified the dates and times against the zip file, .... Restarted GBPVR completely, stopped all its processes and restarted them. And I stll get precisely the same error occuring. Any ideas?

I will need your GBPVR.exe.log file to have a closer look of what is going wrong.
Does the plugin show up in the plugins-section of the config-app? If not, your config.exe.log file would be useful, too.

Yes TV Listings does appear in the config and I can adjust the parameters. Interestinggly the weather plug in does not, and has disappeared from the main menu. Presumably it has a compatibility problem.

The log is attached. The only suspicious item(s) which appear to be non-TV Listings specific is a couple of messages about a failure in calling the reflection interface. I tend to program in Java so am not familiar with the C# models. The activity during this log was just to start GBPVR, attempt to go into TV Listings, get the error panel, OK it and then exit GBPVR.

Thanks for your help.

There was a new version of the Weather plugin released to correct this.

Hi,

I must admit that there isn't anything suspicious regarding the plugin in the logs. I've just had a look at the code, and I throw a GBPVR.Backend.Comm.GbpvrException if no channels are defined. But I think that this is not the case with your setup, isn't it?

Are you sure that you hadn't change anything with your configuration / setup before the error actually occured?

Thanks sub. I had spotted the new weather plug in shortly after my previous message and now that is installed and works fine. The messages about reflection have gone from the log so I guess that might have been weather. Now there is nothing there to indicate anything.

As for the upgrade. I had been making a new skin to suit the familiy needs, but in line with subs instructions, I removed that to a safe place, switched back to blue and ran and tested under 97.13 before the upgrade. All was OK. What you now see is just directly after the upgrade to 98.

Yes, I still have lots of channels and the updated TV Guide works.

It would be really good to get Listings to work, since my main reason is to allow me to configure the view window on the widescreen to see about 180 minutes. There is no special hurry any more since the new guide does more of what is required by the "users". Howver, I am sure you are the same as me and that anything like this is irritating.

Found it.

I can't tell you why, but the process of upgrading, somewhere along the line has removed all the checks on my favourites. Ah yes, I did a rescan, because sub has introduced a feature which required it (Subtitle).

TV Guide seems to take no notice of favourites in my installation.

But here is an interesting "feature". I put back just one favourite, and that then appears on TV Listings repeated down the whole of the page (7 times). If I enable two, then the two are repeated alternately etc...

Well. It's fixed for me. Thanks for listening.

Do you realise you can do this with the built in TV Guide also? Just go into the System screen, Click Settings, then change the TV Guide Listing setting to 3 hours. This feature was introduced in v0.98.8.
