I've worked through a lot of the setup of TV Listings and have my batch files and all working. TV Listing itself is working well.

What I cannot get to work is the additional icons for resolution, new program..... I just have the standard TV listing. I am using xmltvExtras and it says it updates 7837 entries. I'm using Schedules Direct.

I'm not sure where to start debuging.
1. Do I not have the extra info from schedules direct
2. Is the EPG database not getting updated with the icons
3. Is TV Listing not finding the icons?

Thanks,
Coty

Here's my log:

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>XmltvExtras.exe "C:\EPG\xmltv.xml"

You have placed this in the wrong thread.

I'll move it to the general support thread.

Hi,

Maybe - you can compare the programme entries in your xmltv file with the xml-elements used by xmltvextras (see the wiki page of the utility for details, section "Requirements").

What do you mean by "icons"? Images for programmes themselves or little graphics that indicate "Dolby Digital" or "Widescreen" etc.?

I'll check the wiki again. Being fairly new at GBPVR and xmltvextras, I'm on the low end of the learning curve.

By icons I mean the little graphics for Dolby and widescreen.

Thanks

Well, there are no icons as listed in the requirements section of the wiki. Does that mean I'm not getting them from SchedulesDirect?

I'm especially interested in the "New" programs, "Dolby Digital".....

Thanks

I spent a little more time in the file and see more of the structure. I searched the other items listed in the wiki. Out of the list I could only find stereo with values such as dolby and stereo. After further looking, the only <audio> tags seem to be for a movie or pay per view channel I do not get. So it seems there's nothing to display on my regular channels.

<audio>
<stereo>dolby</stereo>
</audio>

So I'm guessing SchedulesDirect doesn't add the tags for my local market....

Am I reading this right?

One thing that you may have missed is that if all goes well, and xmltvextras did get the extra data, then your icons must be downloaded or created with the same file name as the tag you are using.

If the show is supposed to be in 'dolby' then you need an icon for 'dolby' (dolby.jpg, dolby.gif etc)

If you have an entry for HD Simulcast you will need a matching icon...

The new icon will work if your Listings source marks shows as new, using the 'premiere' tag. I know that Schedules direct does not.

UltraXMLTV Enhancer will create that Premiere tag for you if it detects a nedw show. XMLTV Extras will pick it up and then TV Listings will display the 'Premiere.jpg' file you have...

Is there anywhere one can go to download a collection of normally used icons (dolby, stereo, etc)? I now have xmltv (Schedules Direct) with UltraXMLTV_Enahncer, XmltvExtras, and the TVListings plugin all running correctly. I just need to add a few icons to finish it up.

I do have the icons in my directory below. I copied them from the standard blue skin.

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Community3\TV Listings

Premier is one of the icons, along with 4:3, 16:9, stars...., BUT there is no stero or dolby icon. So a good question just above, is there a standard icon set?

I'll check out UltraXMLTV Enhancer.....
