Broken Forum Search Workaround

Hey, I just wanted to share something that might help a lot of people should the forum's search go wonky again. You can get a passable temporary search by using Google's "site:" operator.

eg. to search our forum for the word "video", you can go to Google and enter "site:forums.gbpvr.com video" (without quotes).

It works ok, but it should be able to suffice until the forum search comes back online.

(BTW, this works for any site. Just use the syntax site:any.url search_string

I've seen a few comments about the forum search. What exactly is not working? I've just tried it now and it seems to be ok.

It was broken over from last night (my timezone) to this morning (a few hours ago from now). Recent posts, todays posts were also broken. Came up with notice that an email was dispatched to tech support, database error.

Yeah - was strange if you didn't fix anything - browsing was cool - new posts was not:mad:
