Just wondering how many of you GBPVR users are watching programs right on your computer screen? Or are you piping the picture and sound out to your entertainment system?

I assume most have their Computer based PVR integrated into their entertainment system? If so, how does it look ( are your wives giving you grief over all the wires and another computer in the livingroom?) and can you use your desktop for anything else while it is playing or recording?

I only watch on an MVP. The box is very small and the wiring is neat.

I also use GBpvr almost exclusivly through the MVP. Since i don't use a STB I also rarely use it for live TV either, unless i'm looking to pipe the sound to somewhere else. you know like monday night football audio in the bathroom so i don't miss anything. Smile

STB = Set top box. The MVP varies in price. For a while Radio Shack was clearing them out and they were around $40. Normally they are around $100. They work quite well. The great thing about GBPVR is that with only a few exceptions everything you can do from the PC you can do from the MVP.

I have mine hooked up to an hdtv, too. My wife had some thoughts when I started this project, but she has since grown addicted Wink

This is an old thread, but maybe it should be taken up again: pics of various setups: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=13722
