TV Guide w/ scaled image

I would like to see a guide not unlike the way many cable and DTV providers do it, where the entire video image is scaled to 1/4 of the screen and you can scroll through the channels while continuing to watch the same show. This has to be doable, since, well, cable and DTV is doing it.

Perhaps it's already been done.

You can press the F1 key while watching TV to bring up a small version of the TV Guide overlaid on the video.

Alternatively, you can do exactly like you say (with tv continuing in small window) by adjusting the skin files.
