Hi out there,

I am planning to upgrade from 0.97.13 to the recent version these days. I am very interested in the new database b/c I had several problems using the access database in the past.

I have a couple of questions just for my information:

. After installing the new version (0.98.8b), I have to run the ChangeDatabase.exe app, right?

. This will move all existing database contents from access to SQLite, right?

. From that moment on, gbpvr will use SQLite (and its contents) and the old access stuff becomes useless, right?

(. Although it does not make any sense: there is no chance to do this change vice-versa, i.e. to move the contents back to access and to ask gbpvr to use access database again, right?)

Greetings, Alex

If you want to switch to SQLite, then yes, you'll need to run ChangeDatabase.exe

correct.

The database data migration doesnt work the other way, but you can edit the config.xml to switch back to your original access database (with data as it was when you ran ChangeDatabase.exe).
