Slideshow speed

Is there any way to set the speed of the built in slideshow?

I couldn't find a way, so I tried the PhotosPlugin, but it just has an exception opening the options dialog.

If you're touching the plugin anyway, it would be really nice to be able to go back and forward through the images. I'm often narrating vacation photos and would often like to go back to a picture that I was talking about.

I'm fairly sure the left and right arrows will already do this.
