Hi
I an in the UK connected to NTL cable network my problem is that GBPVR will not tune to the lower frequency cable channels, is there a way to manually tune or a file that can be edited.
The reason I ask this is that a channel Sky one is transmitted unscrambled but I can't tune to this.
Wintv2000 picks it up ok on channel 5 but it’s not a patch on GBPVR

You can finetune channel (i.e. specifying the exact frequency for a channel ) in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS0-1
"12"=dword:04022750

In this case frequency 67250000 Hz (Hex 04022750) is assigned to channel 12.

Specifying all channels did the job for me.

Hi,
I am having the same problem as the user above, with one single channel slightly out of tune. I used Tuning Assistant to tune all the channels. I then tried to change the registry value for this single channel but nothing changed in the way it's displayed. I live in Holland and I use cable.
Any help will be appreciated.

First you can verify whether you're changing the right things: in the registry put the frequency of e.g. Yorin (736000000 Mhz in my case) to the channel number of Nederland 1 (in my case channel 88). Now, with WinTv tune to Nederland 1 / channel 88. If you're doing the right things in the registry, you'll see Yorin; otherwise you see Nederland 1.

My registry settings (in Hex) are:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS0-1]
"298"=dword:2bde7800
"289"=dword:2aea5400
"293"=dword:2b646600
"323"=dword:2f34f600
"319"=dword:2ebae400
"88"=dword:0cdfe600
"70"=dword:0af79e00
"74"=dword:0b71b000
"52"=dword:2aea5400
"264"=dword:280de800
"326"=dword:2faf0800
"198"=dword:206cc800
"104"=dword:0ec82e00

Thanks for your reply, Remco.

I checked the registry again. The channel I want to tune to is number 15 ("name" column), the frequency being 484200000. I tried to overwrite channel 9 with this frequency, but in WinTV channel 9 stays unchanged.

However, I noticed that my regedit path is slightly different: the last section says TS31-0, _not_ TS0-1. I wonder if renaming it would be a good idea...

You could try renaming (or better: copying to) the registry-path. It won't break anything.

Hi, I renamed the registry path from TS31-0 to TS0-1 but nothing changed in WinTV or in GB-PVR live TV. Either I'm doing something wrong or this registry entry is not related to the frequencies in my configurations.

Arbatax, what card are you using? A PVRx50? And you're using the frequency-space of cable, not antenna?
