Well, you shouldn't need any new dongle.bins after 98.8, as GBPVR has one from Hauppage with Video in a Window built in according to the 98.8 changelog.

However if you're still having trouble, or just like trying new stuff, beta Dongle_33_24257b.BIN has surfaced at shspvr.com. You will need to extract the 2.5MB dongle from the full 12MB software, which you do NOT need to install.

Or, for a short time only, the dongle bin (ONLY) is available here:

Dongle_33_24257b.BIN

Thanks, I'll give this one a go as the dongle in 98.8 doesn't work for me.

Out of interest, have you tried this one?

No I just got back from leave from somewhere with a 6 hour time difference and the kids (2 and 3) are waking up at all the wrong times...

I'm still on an old dongle 30_24088 IIRC and it works fine with my D3A, but Wake on LAN on this one looks interesting. I might give it a hoof later.

I will give it a try for the WOL function. I've got my daughter trained to run down to the basement and "Wake up daddy's computer" but I don't know how much longer that will last...

I really hate to leave the GBpvr machine running 24/7 if it could spend most of it's time in standby.

I just downloaded the thing. I will try it for WOL. As I am away for my job until middle next week, I can't promise to report back soon on my experience.

Hi JKSMURF I'll try it as well, for a moment I thought you wanted to get back in the dongle business.Wink

I tried it, looks quite the same as the GBPVR one, the way it starts other small things. But from livetev I couldn't go back to the menu (menu-button not back\exit), so no video-inset.

Tried this one and couldn't get WOL to work. I've checked my pc settings (bios and NIC) and they look ok. So I guess I'll have to accept defeat until I have some more time. The MVP also had a Hauppage overlay which got quite annoying - can this be turned off?

There is a setting on the nic-settings that switches on/off something like: only allow managementstations to wol. I had to switch it on, to make sure the system didn't turn on again in a few mins. But if you want the mvp to turn on the system you might need to change it.
Does your system wol from another system.

I think WOL doesn't work in this release of the mediamvp software.
I installed a sniffer and didn't see a WOL packet from the mediamvp (UDP port 9 like i see if i use a program to wakeup my server from an other system.
