Has anybody else had this problem? Using a Nova-T recording from Freeview in the UK, with DVR-MS as the multiplexer. The last two episodes of series two of Lost both produced files where the video stopped at the title (the word lost in white on a black background) and the sound track carried on to the end of the episode. I thought it must be some bad reception problem so when they were repeated this weekend I tried recording again. Same result!
The signal was there, as restarting the GBPVR recording service half way through recorded to the end OK. As far as the GBPVR logs were concerned everything was working (as in 'checking signal stats took total: 500ms ').
It could be a bug in the Nova-T or in DVR-MS but it has not happened on anything else.

Yes, that happens for me in virtually ever episode, I just have to skip past that point and it's OK.

This seems to imply it is just some momentary thing that occurs in the stream at time.

Does anyone using the Cyberlink or ATI mux have this problem also?

I use the cyberlink mux, fortunately comskip usually nails the ads on E4 and skips this, if it doesn't it either locks up or the audio goes out of sync. This is viewing on an MVP.

Once it is recorded then its too late. In the recording there is only audio, skipping doesn't help. I can play the whole file (using InterVideo nonCSS) just sound with frozen picture, but if I skip then it stops.

If anyone wants to record a 5 minute transport stream that covers this problem occuring, then I'm happy to take a look and try to resolve the issue for you.
