I have developed a plug in where when a recording is taking place, the scroll lock key will flash.

How is this useful? Well I have a little keyboard receiver on the top of my TV. The computer is behind the TV. Thus, unless i'm looking right at the GBPVR screen I didnt know if I was recording anything. This little plugin will show you by flashing the scroll lock button repeatedly.

Can I get some feedback?

Well, I gave it a quick go... but no luck.

I've a usb keyboard, should it flash the scroll lock light on that, or have I misunderstood?

Also, it created a Blinky option on the main menu which doesn't do anything!

I love the idea! What else is the scroll lock even for. I gave it a try, and no go. If I hit the scrol lock key, it will light, then go out. Is the plugin only sending an "off" command to the keyboard indicator? Or maybe it is too fast?

Also while hitting the Scroll Lock key, gbpvr threw an exception in blinky...

I am using a PS/2 keyboard (actually it is an old school Compaq possible from a 386 that has the indicator lights in the keys themselves I have not seen another like it. There is a green led in the "lock" keys.

Same here. I wrote something like this before. I had to detect the scroll light state before sending the on or off click...

Thanks for the feedback.

I know the scroll lock portion is working just fine I did have to jump through all those hoops already with .net to get it running.

I'm guessing there is something wrong in my "Is it recording" part, let me take a look at that and post another version.

Also, it does show up on the menu, just disable it from the plugins menu and it will dissapear. I guess I could just put something in the plugin when you click it to tell you that and save everyone that question. Smile

I'll have a new version up soon.

Actually I think it's not identifying the recording properly. It's "by design" to shut off the scroll lock if it's not recording in case the last state was "on" so let me check it out real quick.

rwmech,

Is it possible to have blinky plug-in create a dummy file like c:\recording.dat whenever it detects recording, and delete it when no recording. Thanks.
