I am looking for a couple helpers that have either an MVP or NMT to test some builds of Weather2 for me.

I do not have one of these, but there are problems with Weather2 when an update occurs with them. If you have one and would like to help me out, please let me know.

!! DISCLAIMER !! - These builds may not work properly (but I'm hoping).

Thanks!

I have GBPVR 1.4.07, an NMT and a MVP. My server computer is pretty slow, but it seems to run the current weather2 just fine.

Really? Interesting... I didn't think it worked for any MVP/MNT user.

Just for my info, can you zip and post your logs for me? I'd like to see some info... thanks!

Here you go. Just tried the current weather2 on the NMT first and then the MVP (both worked fine for me). I don't have any of the maps turned on but if you want me to turn them on, let me know.

Yep I'm up for the challenge as well if you need another?

I am running the new version of W2 on my old slow development machine under 1.4.7 & while I still have the occasional crash on the NMT I reduced it by setting my update time to something like every 8 hours (I did this with the old version & haven't changed it for the new one) & just use manual update which has never caused me a problem. I will change back to a more frequent auto update for testing if you want.

Thanks for all the offers. I will PM each of you a link tomorrow to get the test builds.

Jaggy, yes, if you could increase your update frequency, that would be great.

If it's the update frequency causing it, I suspect that it's trying to write to a file that still open. You can use try/catch around the writes to check for this. Also, if you have a timer set to launch the update, I would stop/disable the timer when an update starts and then restart it when it's done. This would prevent two "updates" from occuring simultaneously.

Just trying weather2 now

at first glance everything seems to be working

but system only running for a few minutes so far

One observation which may be my imagination but the mvp resposive to the remote seems a bit sluggish

I have created about 10 locations and they all seem to display correctly

I'll update further later
