Hi all,

Symptoms: I've recently noticed a few cases where a recording that was supposed to record from the set-top box yielded a program from a different channel, that is only available on another capture source.

Setup:
* PVR350 recording off Analog RF only.
* PVR150 setup with 2 capture sources:
1. Recording from the same Analog RF as the 350.
2. Recording from the set-top box, with HaupBlast, etc.

I have only today figured it out. The 350's capture source channel list seems to include a few of the channels that are available off the STB. I have attached a screen capture before trying to delete these channels.
Notice that 407250000 is the correct manual frequency for HOTmovies which is an Analog channel. All the channels below it are only available off the STB!

I do not know if this happened during the upgrade from 96.12 to 97.* or in the recent upgrade to 98.8b.

Obviously, having these channels in the capture source meant that these channels appear to be available and recording 2 shows which we thought should conflict - produced no conflict, and recorded off HOTmovies instead.

I cannot delete the channels since I am in the middle of a recording now, but will post results after I try to.

If during an EPG update GB-PVR finds your XMLTV file includes an additional channel (not previously added or disabled), this will automatically added, and if the XMLTV file does not specify the channel number, then it will be given a generated channel number one higher than the current largest.

At some point your XMLTV file started including these extra channels. The problem would have occurred at this time, regardless of what version of GB-PVR you were running.

That was what I thought, but I cannot see how this can happen. I use two completely different grabbers for the two sources (STB uses an Israeli proprietary program that captures from a WAP site vs. Analog RF which captures from a different website). Each has a separate output file, named differently and placed in a different directory. Each is started from a separate Windows Schduled task, one hour apart.

In addition, I checked the file for the Analog RF, and it does NOT include those channels. So - what is the chance that these channels would appear in the file for one time, and then go away. I have not changed the way I capture XMLTV files in ages.

And there is another enigma. I have both 150 and 350 setup to capture from Analog RF, and both use the same source xml file. How come this thing happened only to one of them and not the other? Surely the same file means that both should have seen the "new" channels.

I'm pretty sure what I described above was what happened. I dont really want to waste much time looking into it though. Just delete the channel you think shouldnt be there. If they come back at some later stage, then we'll take another look.

Alright. I just did that, and basically got almost all of my reocurring recordings to become scheduled twice on the same timeslot, resulting in immediate conflicts on just about everything. When I cancelled all shows that were in conflict, I found that every single one of them is still pending, which is what told me that they got scheduled twice.
