Hi,

My old pvr box has been running well for over a year but had started to play up.

Time for a fresh install and for me to get some of that v0.98.8b server/client goodness I thought!

On a fresh install of XP I've installed v0.98.8b and all seems to be going well, apart from live TV is jerky, but only when the OSD dissappears! As long as I keep the mouse moving, the picture is smooth as anything. As soon as the OSD goes off screen the picture turns jerky and stays that way until the OSD returns.

Anyone any ideas?!

I'm using a nova t 90002 in the UK
software mpeg2 playback: intervideo nonCSS for both audio and video
I've tried all Overlay manager, vmr7 to 9 and custom with no difference.
I'm using the cyberlink mutliplexer.

Try setting <BDAEnableDvbSubtitles>false</BDAEnableDvbSubtitles> in config.xml

Sub,

Thanks for getting back so quick.

I've already set that in config.xml as subtitles were appearing on all channels and I counldn't turn them off with ctrl Y.

Also try <EnableTeleText>false</EnableTeleText>.

If that doesnt work, and you're using VMR9 Custom, then try switching to regular VMR9.

Thanks again sub,

Unfortunately <EnableTeleText> was already set to false. I have tried VMR9 and it has made no discernible difference.

Just for information, the CPU usage is 50% when the OSD is on screen and goes up to 95%+ when it's off screen.

It probably has nothing to do with it (but you never know): I think you should turn off "use-direct -access-for hauppauge remote" in gbpvr-config-misc. It has given people trouble in the past and it's only for people with a 250 or 350 (I think).
