Hello,

I have a lite-on dvb-t usb tuner. I've modified the bda.ini file to support my card, but when I try to scan for channels, it never found something Sad

I took a look to the log file and found this:
1:41:05.921 VERBOSE Adding BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter filter
01:41:05.937 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredDecoder)
01:41:05.937 VERBOSE About to render demux pins...
01:41:05.937 VERBOSE rendering pin: 1
01:41:05.953 VERBOSE rendering pin: 2
01:41:05.984 VERBOSE rendering pin: 3
01:41:06.015 VERBOSE rendering pin: 4
01:41:06.046 VERBOSE rendering pin: 5
01:41:06.046 VERBOSE About to render GB-PVR Flow Status pin
01:41:06.046 VERBOSE About to setup IVideoWindow
01:41:06.062 INFO Starting graph...
01:41:06.078 ERROR Failed to start BDA Graph
01:41:06.078 VERBOSE ERROR_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED
01:41:06.203 VERBOSE locked=0 present=0 strength=-10 quality=-100
01:41:06.203 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
01:41:06.203 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
01:41:06.203 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
01:41:06.203 VERBOSE - BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter

The problem is that my usb stuff is connected, it works with lite-on software (savvy tv) and also with pouchin tv (light tv software).

Any idea ?

This error is typically what you'd see if the device is currently in use by some other software on the machine.

yes, I've read it in other posts, but it is not the case. At first I thought it may be a problem of firmware loaded, so I've made a test with a fresh reboot :

Lite-on savvy tv then gb-pvr -> same error
then
reboot, and gb-pvr first -> same error, but savvy tv is OK (and pouchin TV an other software not installed by default within the default lite-on package).

So it doesn't look to be a lock on the device by an other software, by the way, in the other post, the error was something like DEVICE_IN_USE, mine is
ERROR_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED.

Is there different way to access BDA device ? I mean savvy is the default software (so it is supposed to always work Wink ), but pouchin looks to work with a lot of boards, and it is open source...

Thanks for your help,

This device seems to be not reporting its pin medium, which is used to determine which filters need to be connected together.

Does this device have a separate tuner and capture filters? Did you correctly add there names to bda.ini? If so, you could try setting <BDAAutoDetectTuner>false</BDAAutoDetectTuner> in config.xml - it might help.

Ok, it works now, I was using the definition of a tuner+capture device instead of the other oneRolleyes

This is the device settings
[Lite-on intuix]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=DVB-T TV Tuner
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Antenna In Pin
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Thanks for your help Wink
