I imagine this falls outside of gbpvr but I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to send music directly to MVP from their computer. The music plug ins are great but the way my house/system is setup the MVP goes to the stereo downstairs which then plays through the house. There are times, like now when I'd like to be able to just start winamp and select a few songs to listen to without having to go downstairs and go through the menus in the music plug ins.

you could always just send a line direct from your sound card to a empty source on your amplifier, for those times you want to use winamp directly

That would have to be a long cable Wink wonder if there is a way to send whatever is playing on the soundcard out the networkcard and into gpvr, almost like some sort of open line...

I can't see how this would be possible but others may know better. There are a lot of ways of cotrolling winamp or other players remotely on your computer but getting the output to play through the MVP is another matter.

I have a setup similar to nightwalker and control winamp with "remoteamp" via my PDA or blutooth from an old t610 mobile phone using "FMA". If anyone know how to get winamp to play through MVP it would be the perfect setup for me. But I can't see how it would be possible.

I can think of a couple of ways where you treat your winamp PC like an internet radio station and configure GBPVR accordingly. You could then

1. Use Winamp to create a shoutcast feed or
2. Use software that traps audio analog output and streams it via http.

It seems a whole lot easier to just let GBPVR play your local content for you.

Ok maybe I'm going about this the wrong way. Is there a way to pull the gbpvr screen up on the computer so I can just control the music plug in from here?

bobbfrommn, I may be dense, but please restate your last question and provide example situations so we can understand what you've tried to say.

Right now I have to pull up the gbpvr screen on the TV to use the plug ins. Is there a way to pull it up on my computer screen and control it from there.

You probably have to change your desktop-settings to "clone-mode" so that you see the same on both screens, or you must be able to "drag" your screen from one to the other. That probably depends on your vmr settings and the capabilities of your graphics card.
