Weather plugin in Canada

I have been unable to get the weather updates, even though I checked the code on msnbc and it is correct. I noticed you were considering alternate websites to get weather for more cities. Could you consider http://www.theweathernetwork.com? This is a Canadian site but offers weather for a wide range of international cities. I am hoping that if I could get the weather from http://www.theweathernetwork.com, the plug in would work (I am assuming the problem relates to my being in Canada.

I use it as well, in Winnipeg. Works fine.

Nope, that is not your problem. I have 3 Canadian sites and one in Ireland and they all work fine for me.

Following the instructions, my accid for Ottawa, ontario is CAXX0343. This code comes up as an unknown place when using the program. I checked msnbc and then tried wc:CAXX0343 and that didn't work either. I do appreciate your help in getting this to work.

Here is a screenshot of my listings. I just added Ottawa and it works for me. What is the wc: you have added to the CAXX0343? That may be your error.

Thank you for your help. Just in case anyone else (with little computer experience) runs into the same problem, I didn't realize that my Sygate firewall was preventing the information from being downloaded. Once that was fixed, it works perfectly.

Thought I'd jump in while the thread was still warm...

I've been using the weather plugin too (in Calgary) and it has been working but one screen still gived me degrees F... and MPH in the Detailed forecast screen..

It looks like its a word for word on the MSNBC site and that MSNBC isn't making the distinction... I emailed them, but it was a basic automatic suggestion box...
