How do I disable the Volume OSD?
Since I've updated to 98.13 I've been having skips while watching LiveTv (sort of sluggishness).
I've always had a bit of sluggishness but only when a part of the OSD was displayed (like program description and such). Wasn't a problem until now because the sluggishness was gone after the OSD had disappeared.
Now while watching LiveTv (watching recordings and movies are fine) the video skips after a few seconds which eventually leads to lost of AUDIO/VIDEO synchronization.
I think the Volume OSD is causing this problem since I've tried before using the Volume OSD plugin and had the same problem.
I'm using Nvidia decoder with WMR9 (and already tried different decoders and other renderers).

Select "none" on the volume OSD section on the Playback tab of the config app.

Thanks, but I've tried that already. Didn't help.
I'm guessing this option is only for the Volume control and doesn't disable the OSD for the Volume completely.
When I tried before using the Volume OSD plugin the skipping occurred even when I wasn't changing the Volume, as there was a transparent part of the OSD in the background...
I've also tried selecting "Minimal OSD during playback". Still no good.
Any other ideas?
Maybe there were more changes to the OSD?

I've been having sluggish and jerky live TV with the latest release as well.

I also thought it was OSD related so disabled the volume/subtitles etc. but seems to make no difference. Also different audio/video decoders makes no difference. I also went through the quartz.dll thing a long time ago so i'm sure it's not that either. Switching to overlay mode is much better but the OSD's look rubbish lol

I've not looked into it too deeply at the moment. Am guessing it must be a decoder issue of some kind but it's funny how it never happened until 98.13. Timeshifting and recordings are perfect.

Will let you know if I find anything!

Thanks anyway,
I've tried messing with a few settings in the config.xml file but no success.
I'm sticking with 98.8 for now.
No hard feelings, I hope.
