I'll save the pain of trying other apps up until now for another post. For now here's what I have:

3GHz AMD64
1.5 GB RAM
200 GB Hitachi 7200 RPM drive
ATI Theater 650 (HD)
ATI Radeon 9600XT
Connected to Mitsu 55" HDTV via HDMI

I've been struggling to get this all working under ANY app. It was close under Vista using Windows Media Center, but it was jerky and the HD pic was lousy. With GBPVR, I have proper menus, but nothing but snow.

I set up the analog with direct, and the digital with GBR (or something like that, can't see it from here). I loaded the channels proper for each device. I'm lost on what to do. It seems each app has their own little problem.

Probably best to start with either analog or digital, but not both at the same time. Delete the capture source for the other, then try it and let use know what happens and we'll go from there.

I should have mentioned. I tried both direct and the other alone but no luck on any channel. I'm not sure which "tuner" (single chip board) it's trying to use, but none work. I'm game to try whatever you'd suggest though.

Ok, click the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button in the capture source to initiate a channel scan. Does it find any channels? If not, zip and attach the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Which country are you in?

It found no channels. I also tried "direct source" or whatever that was.

I'm in Dallas, Texas, USA.

I'll send those files right now. I wish I had a 1080p right about now, the 1080i is killing my eyes Wink

I'll also mention if I fire up the ATI Catalyst Media Center, it can tune the channels.

Its funny that you mentioned DVB-T above. You use ATSC in the US, not DVB-T. When try to add you capture source is "ATI 650 Pro (ATSC)" presented as a card option? If not, then add the following to bda.ini and try again:

[ATI 650 Pro (ATSC)]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=ATI BDA Digital Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=ATI BDA Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=Input0
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=Output1

Same story, after clicking the 'map digital channels to epg channels' button, zip and attach the logs.

Yea, it was an option, I've selected it, and it's doing the map right now.
