I am a new user to GB-PVR and have finally got everything working pretty well. (Lots of helpful stuff in the forums here, Never would have known to change quartz.dll Thanks Big Grin )

When I view live TV in time shifted mode the playback stops at the end of the show. (according to the guide) This is annoying if I want to keep watching the same channel. And catastrophic when watching "american" football games as they often run past the time slot on the guide and I loose the end of the game.

Is there a config setting I missed to allow time shifting of live TV to continue? Or am I forced to record my precious sporting games with a longer post padding time?

Is this on a network client machine? I saw one other report of this a few weeks back (on a client machine), but I havnt had a chance to look into it yet.

No its just a stand alone PC. The navigator at the top of the screen reaches the end and the picture just freezes. I jump back to main menu and I've lost the end of game Sad

My specs if they matter much:

1.6GHz Pent 4
512MB ram
120GB HD
Win XP home
Hauppauge PVR-150
Sattelite box using IR-blaster from the 150
Nvidia 5200 S-video out to TV
Nvidia Purevideo decoders with Overlay

I used to have this problem. I think it also coincided with me not being able to watch a recording in progress. Luckily, something happened requiring me to re-install everything and both problems were fixed.

To me that points to one of my drivers or filters being corrupt.

I had this problem also and it was the Nvidia Decoders. It would happen at the end of a show in timeshift mode when it switched files. It would cause 100% cpu until I exited out of it. I tried different versions with no change.I switched to intervideo and never had the problem again. I have since switched my video card to an ATI x1300 and using the Nvidia decoders again but I do not have the problem anymore.

Well I have an update.

It turns out that GB-PVR does still keep playing at the end of a show. However it freezes for a period of time before continuing on to the next show. I just wasn't patient enough to wait for it. The time it is frozen seems to vary. However it seems to be around the same amount of time I need to wait for "time shifting mode" to start.

However I can't rewind back to the previous show. How do I access the previous shows in time shift.

Well, I have this problem, too, and I don't use Nvidia decoders. At the end of every show in timeshift mode, it freezes! Quite annoying.
