I'm using Z-Process and after a little troubleshooting adjusting Trans2MVP parameters I came up to a solution that at least allows me to watch 1 movie per session. The question is: why if I try to watch a second movie, the screen goes black and stand still... or it simply resets to the gbpvr Video Library GUI?

My actual Trans2MVP settings are:
CPU priority: normal
Final Output: 352x264 PAL, FrameRate: 25, Channels 2, Video Bitrate 4000.
The other textboxes are left blank.

Does it have the same problem if you play two MPEG2 files?

Hi Hemme. sorry I missed this...

Could you please send me the ZProcessRegSettings.txt from the third party/ffmpeg folder.

Also, can you tell what type of file are you trying to view? XVID, DIVX, MP4 etc.

and also, how much time do you wait before trying to watch another video?

The problem seems to happen with both DivX and XviD files. I haven't already tested MPEG2 or other formats.

The behaviours are different: sometimes the video plays for just few seconds, sometimes fmpeg.exe keeps on running in its own command console window, but the MVP shows a blank screen and the timebare in the OSD stays still.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

These are Trans2MVP settings:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ZERITECH\ZProcess\Trans2MVP]
"MVPPriority"="Normal"
"Bitrate"="2400"
"AudBit"="224"
"AudioFreq"=""
"VideoCodec"=""
"AudioCodec"=""
"AudCh"="2"
"FrameRate"="25"
"OutputWidth"="640"
"OutputHeight"="480"
"Ratio"="4x3"
"Format"="svcd"
"vtag"=""
"ManPadTop"="0"
"ManVPad"="0"
"ManPadLeft"="0"
"ManPadRight"="0"
"MoveFinishedVideo"="0"
"UseHQ"="0"
"UseTwoPass"="0"

THanks Hemme. I'll have a look at this. It'll be a couple of days...

Hi Hemme, first of all, the settings are fine. Personally, I use 'Below Normal' CPU, but that's so I can do other things while I'm transcoding. In Normal mode, fmpeg.exe hogs the cpu...

But that shouldn't be your problem...

My wife had the same problem, where ZProcess will only video one show and then crash on the second. I witnessed it the first time last night. But the requested video dropped back to the video screen, then we selected it again and the video ran.

Seems she has become accustomed to trying any given video twice...she says that it always works on the second try... Is that the case for you?

I still don't know why though, I'll chat with sub...

I think that the GB-PVR MediaMVP Server application is involved, infact when the problem arise I have to restart the server app in order to get the things working again.

OK. So you watch one movie, and it's fine. Then you try another movie and it does not play. If you restart the server it will play. hmmm

This is starting to look like something I have no control over...

How about creating a custom task in GBPVR config and have it point to the restart.bat. That should give you easier access to restart the service...

Do you record TV. Are you able to watch several shows in a row?
