in the spirit of this being an off topic forum.

someone bought a PS3 for $15,000 and yes I typed that correctly fifteen thousand.

think of how much stuff you could get for that. Like a PC that will play every game imaginable at highest settings... and the games.

I saw that craziness on the news, just amazing what people will spend for a game. The last time i was in that kind of insanity was searching for cabbage patch dolls for my daughters, and later a tickle me Elmo for my granddaughter. They were nothing like what I'm seeing today.

I think I'll sit this one out and be thankful i don't have a grandson old enough to know the difference. Smile

I waited for about 10 hours at Walmart for the Wii. It was well worth the wait. Legend of Zelda and Wii Sports are awesome.

So how is the controller, honestly?

That is the one thing I felt a little skeptical about, as to how well it can translate into a variety of games.

My son has physical limitations, which I am amazed he can do as well with the dual shock controllers as he does. He just thinks he would have problems with the "nunchuck" setup. Hopefully we can find a working demo unit this weekend.

(He has thumb+index+small finger on left hand only, and index+small finger on his right only, at 10yrs old "pwns" the other kids in neighborhood in fighters and Madden, but has trouble with finesse games.)

No disrespect, but....WHY??

10 hours in line? In a few weeks there will be pyramids of Wii's and PS3's in every wal-mart in the country.

Only $15,000 for a PS3 ? , what a cheapskate.
Someone on Ebay bid $89,000,000 before the auction was pulled. Full story is here...

http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/11/17/...m_for_ps3/

But why pull the auction ? Sounds very good value to me Big Grin
