Hello,
So I recently changed ISP's - but get to keep my old email (which is good, as it's used for a lot of important sutff)
I can connect and download emails, but when I try to send, I get an error that I am not sending a correct FQDN or IPv6 literal.
It seems that outlook 2003 doesn't send anything as the FQDN.
(I am guessing here, as the error says: "must contain a FQDN or IPv6 literal in []."
When I try thunderbird, it says "invalid HELO/EHLO of [192.168.1.3]" which is the internal IP address of this PC.
Can anyone tell me how to make either Thunderbird / Outlook 2003 send a valid FQDN?
If I telnet into the mail server, and do a HELO command of "www.google.co.nz" it authenticates! - I dont mind using my actual IP address etc, I just want to be able to send emails through my client again.
Any ideas?
Thanks
