I love the look of your skins. As I now upgraded to a wide-screen TV and a higher resolution too (50" plasma), Sassari was the only way to go...

However, there's one thing I (or more accurately, WIFE) can not "connect" to - it's the horizontal main menu.

I used the BlueMCE2 before, and I prefer the vertical menu much more. I like it that I see more options on the screen. I even editied (with my poor skinning abilities) to have some more room for the video preview window.

I tried to play with Sassari to have it vertical. Basically managed, but it looked bad, as the whole structure wasn't obviosuly designed for it, and also the graphics (with that nice reflection).

Bottom line - do you have any plans on publishing a wide-screen high-res skin that based around a vertical main menu?

we'll see...maybe! i had plans for this, but i am running out of time. i didn't even manage to update the skin.

it's a good idea, i think, i will start something.

Great news!

Look, attached is my (very) poor attempt. It may not help at all. But for what it's worth...

One reason it didn't work for me (except the graphics with the "reflection" of the main menu icons), is that when moving to vertical, you somehow expect the main menu to look more similar to the sub menu (it's just another hierarchy, not like when in horizontal, you get more "separation" and these are main "tasks".).

so it looks a bit awkward when jumping from those big nice vertical round icons to those nice and stylish long buttons...
