I'm a US user and recently started having static issues on two channels (69 & 70). I don't use a cable box (before my PVR) and for trouble shooting purposes, I tried to take the raw feed (no splitters) straight out of the wall and still get the same thing. Normally I have a TIVO and a cale box off the same feed and they show 69 and 70 just fine. I tried the WINTV2000 app and get the same results. I don't recall this always being like this, but it may have been since my cable company just moved some channels. I don't recall if these were moved or not. Sad Anyone have any idea on how I can clear these up?

thanks

I'm running GBPVR09813 and a PVR350 card.

i've attached a pic of what the two channels look like:

Its funny its experiencing this problem in both the Hauppauge software and GB-PVR.

Could you have run some other TV software recently that adjusted the Microsoft frequency override settings? This could affect GB-PVR, and maybe the WinTV software - but I would have though doing a frequency channel scan (rather than by channel #) in the WinTV software would have picked up the channels clearly.

Nope, I haven't loaded up anything else. This box is dedicated to GBPVR. Can someone point me to the frequency override settings and how I can set them. I will surely try and tweak the channels if need be. The one thing I'm worried about, these are at the end of the channels, there are like 2-3 more and then it circles back around to channel 2, so I'm not sure if it's just something related to that or what...

As always, thanks for the qiuick reply Sub.

I know what the black circles thing you refer to is, but you can find some info about the frequency override settings here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/defaul...rrides.asp

Most people dont have any overrides, but some badly behaved TV apps create them, causing grief for other apps.
