how do i uninstall this program? its not listed in Add/Remove programs list or Ccleaner's uninstaller.
i also used search option in start menu and put in GB-PVR and also tried DVD2MPEG. neither name showed uninstall files.
sorry but i do not want this program anymore. im doing a cleanout..and trying to have as much drive space as i possibly can.
i could delete the menu in start>programs but how can i be sure that will cleanout everything relating to GB-PVR?

It's in my add/remove progs. Can't think what your problem is. Sorry this isn't much help.

Is it possible that the program has been removed already but the folder on the Start menu is still there?

Do you have anything in c:\Program Files\devnz ? The folder might be in a different location, so you can also try going to Start, Search, and look for folders called 'devnz'. If it only finds it on the start menu, then it's already been removed and you can just delete the folder from stat by right clicking it and going to delete.

If you do find it, then you could manually uninstall it by stopping the service, deleting the program folder and doing cleanup from there but I imagine that's a little advanced.

Other things to try if you are comfortable doing these kind of things:

Open regedit & go to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
With the "Uninstall" key name selected, press Ctrl+F. Search for "devnz". (Make sure Data is selected.) If you see a subkey under "Uninstall" with the "Publisher" data value set to "devnz" and a "Display" data value set to "GB-PVR", then Windows thinks that GB-PVR is still installed. Double-click on the word "UninstallString" and copy the contents to your clipboard by hitting Ctrl+C. (It will look something like "MsiExec.exe /X{67375C20-848A-4C35-AB2D-55FC67624333}" without the quotes. OK, it should look exactly like that, but anyway.) Press the Start button on the task bar at the bottom of your screen and select Run. Paste the contents of the clipboard into the command line & hit Enter.

If, when you did the search for "devnz", there wasn't a subkey under "Uninstall" with the values listed above, then Windows doesn't think that GB-PVR is still installed.

In the same registry key, you might come across uninstallers for various GB-PVR plugins and utilities. If they don't show up in your Add/Remove Programs and you want to unistall them, you can use the same procedure of copying the "UninstallString" value and running it. When you select a program in Add/Remove Programs, Windows just runs the UninstallString value.

Can you tell I write installs for living, although I do mostly java-based multi-platform ones now.

Possibly do a re-install and that should put it back into your add/remove programs. Then uninstall from there. Not sure why it would be missing in the first place though.
