Apologies if this has been asked before but I have ordered

http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Qui...ationKey=0

Will this card work with WinXP Pro or do I have to upgrade to Media Centre. I am planning to use GVPVR, is it a simple case of installing the card and then instaling the GBPVR or would I have to install Hauppauge software first?

I didnt realise there were 2 versions of the 1300 , MCE and 'normal' and it looks like I have ordered the wrong one and it arrives on Monday.
Apologies for the clumsy link above, couldnt get the auto link working correctly.

Yes, it'll work for you with GB-PVR on XP Pro. You'll need to install the Hauppauge drivers before GB-PVR though.

Thx for the fast reply, just installing the drivers and not the Hauppauge software do you mean. Will the remote work on XP or is that for Media Centre only?

I've both type and tested either.
I'm presently using MCE remote but I previously used Hauppauge remote. Both are working perfectly under GBPVR.
If you have just one card there is no problem in using either analog or DVB-T tuner (one at a time).
The only issue is when more than one HVR-1300 card is installed because of filters messing (see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=20998)
I'm pretty sure Sub sooner or later will find a solution.

Do I understand right that you cannot use both tuners at the same time?

Yes, tuners couldn't be used together at the same time.

Ok, that's a pity.:o They don't really mention that on the Hauppauge site, do they? It probably explains why it's cheaper than a 500.
Thanks anyway.

They mention but you have to read carefully behind the lines

Hi

To clarify only ONE input can be used at once, this includes, record AND watch another channel cant be done....

So, Analog, DVB and Composite can only be used one at a time for record or watching.
Many Thanks
Ashley
