My Budget PVR

i wanted to build another terminal for the bedroom so i built

i used a shuttle style AtX aluminium case

motherboard micro ATX Gigabyte GA-945GM-S2 with intel 945 chipset socket 775

CPU intel core 2 duo processor socket 775 E6400 2.13GHz 1066 Fsb 2mb L2 cache

Memory 2 x 512 mb GDDR 2 667/533 corsair memory total 1024 mb

Optical pioneer d111 dvd rom optical drive

hard drive seagate barracuda 250 Gb sata 11 hard disk drive

vantec aluminium ez swap sata mobile hard drive rack for ease of swapping media drives

nvidia Geforce 7300 Le xfx Graphics card with 512mb DDR2 in pci express with heat sink for silent running

,MSI DVBT+ Analogue, FM hybrid tuner card

19" wide screen AOC lcd display

bluetec firewire pci card

logitec DiNovo bluetooth media keyboard with media pad and mx 5000 rechargable laser mouse

i was able to build it for a total of $ 1583.00 Au

and i had a spare copy of windows media edition and will be running GBPVR

$1580 AUS is approx £630 which is not a budget pvr in my view, but never the less you have a good spec'ed pc.
