The Budget has BDA drivers, so should work fine, but you'll need to add a section to the BDA.ini with the appropriate names for this card.
I dont think Technotrend have release BDA drivers for their Premium range of devices.

Great thanks for the quick reply, i will hunt around on the forums regarding BDA as this is new to me

What do I have to add to bda.ini for the Technotrend Budget TT-1500 C ?
I tried this: [Technotrend TT-1500 C] TUNING_TYPE=DVB-C FILTER_TUNER=TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-C Tuner FILTER_CAPTURE=TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-C Capture PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0 PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport The card was recognized, but when I startet to map the channels I got the massege: GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA-device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use. (Reason: Failed to locate configured BDA Tuner device) How can i configure it properly ? I added some logfiles in the attached zip-file

Quote:22:11:22.609 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-C CaptureThis shows that the bda.ini section doesnt map the driver names used by your capture device. If you run filtercheck, then zip and attach the resulting filtercheck.log, then I'll help you correct it: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Thanks sub for your quick response.
The Filterchecker gave me information in the attached zip-file I changed bda.ini to this: [Technotrend TT-1500 C] TUNING_TYPE=DVB-C FILTER_TUNER=TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-C Tuner FILTER_CAPTURE=TechnoTrend BDA/DVB Capture PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0 PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport the channels could be tuned, and some tuned frequencies showed strength (50-55 %) and quality (100 %), but no channels were found and no one was shown. As far as I remember no tuning was with QAM256, only with QAM64. The software from Technotrend had tuned the channels at QAM256, as far as I could see it. What else can I do ? I attached also the log files for the last tuning.

I just upgraded to 0.98.13b. Now it scans the channels even with QAM64, but in the middle of the scanning the config.exe aborts. I dont know why. The first channels are scanned at a frequency that usally does not contain digital channels.
I attach the logs.

Thanks, re-regestering the filters helped a lot.
I can receive the channels now in the mapping the epg to channels function. But when i try to record the channels with gb-pvr or watch them with the live-tv function I only get the message "Failure playing back file" I dont know why this happens. In the channels list I also have a lot of channels that i can not remove. I attach some log-files. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry for the post. I think I already know the reason. BDA-Mux-Checker tells me that no Multiplex-Filters were found. Now I have to look out for a Multiplexer, though I have Windows XP with SP2 installed, but it does not help to chose Microsoft DVR-MS in the config.

Try disbling the PVR350 hardware decoder (ie, set it back to 'none - use software decoder') then see if it helps.
The PVR350 will not be able to handle .dvr-ms files. |
