Does selecting "Complete EPG reload" in Config/Capture Sources really do a complete reload?

The reason I ask is that recently a show for which I had a recurring recording scheduled was suddenly cancelled by the network (Fox), but my EPG still showed future shows (I get 14 days of show data) in the grid -- even after EPG updating. I checked the show lineup at zap2it.com and the show, correctly, was not in their grid. A new show was now shown in the timeslot. Why would the cancelled show still be in the GBPVR grid if the EPG was completely reloaded?

Thanks.

If you have 'complete epg reload' enabled then prior to the EPG update:

1) cancel and delete all pending schedlued recordings (episodes) of a season recording
2) delete all shows from the database (except those referenced by a scheduled recording, see above though)
3) then proceed with the EPG update

There are a couple of situations a show can be left in the EPG, and not removed during this complete reload: (1) first episode of a season recording is never removed since it is the master record for a season recording, (2) a one-off scheduled recording is not removed.

I have a similar situation. I use zap2it.com and get 7 days of data. When I'm in the program guide and a program has changed times, say by 20 minutes (ie: program starts at 9PM but is changed to 9:20PM) it will still act as though there is still some remnant data in the EPG.

Let me try to explain further the best I can. When I'm in the Program Guide on a channel, the program right before (8:30P) will be highlighted in green with the white outline. If I arrow right once to the program that changed times (9P) the green highlighting will go away and the white outline will outline the original time of the program (before the program was rescheduled). If I arrow right again, it highlights the program's new time (9:20P). This will happen in the EPG even when I'm not recording a program at that time. It might be some variation of this, but it's now I remember it. If I see it again, I'll try some screenshots.

There was one time I was trying to record 24 and it was moved back 20 mins because the President was giving a speech. The only way I could get it to reflect the 20 min change is to remove all channels in the EPG and reload it. I don't schedule season recordings, I do everything one week at a time. I've noticed this is a few of the previous versions.

I think my "problem" show should have been captured in number 1) in your list. It was not the first episode of a season recording and it was not a one-off scheduled recording either.

But wait. As I'm writing this, I remember that zap2it was making changes to its channel numbers. It is possible that after emptying the EPG and reloading it to get the new numbering and the subsequant need to reschedule all my season recordings (since they are deleted) would, in fact, make my "problem" show the "first" episode of the season. I just can't remember the exact timing of these events, however.

Anyway, just so I'm clear:
1) the first episode of a season recording does not get removed and;
2) any stand-alone (i.e one-off) schedule will not get removed

when a "complete reload" is done.
Correct?
