I am assuming that this is a really stupid question because it seems everyone on this forum knows the answer, but when it comes to the audio decoder it is not clear to me where I get it (InterVideo, NVIDIA, CyberLink, etc.). I read that it comes with my hardware, but I have installed all the drivers from my video card and my tuner cards, and I don't think I have an audio decoder on my computer. Is this software that I have to purchase or is it available for dowload for free on the web? If it is available for dowload, where do I go to get it?

I think you'll get a mpeg audiodecoder with the mpeg videodecoder. It's in one package.

What I am really looking for is an explicit list of what websites to go to in order to download the audio decoder or video decoder for that matter. Is there one definitive site, or are they spread out over the web and I just google them? In that case, how can I make sure I am going to a legitimate site as opposed to one packed with spyware and viruses.

What options does the gbpvr-config-playback-audiodecoder-box give when you click on it?

Edit: here is a list with decoders (not only mpeg): http://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=6
