right i finally got it working correctly and the guide is right. When i watch bbc channels they usally seem perfect. Then when i watch any other they seem to lag or play for a second then freeze then play again.

Has anyone any idea

is it anything to do with MUXERS ??/

You mentioned "watching" above, so I assume you're talking about live tv, so assuming youre watching live preview mode on your PC, then no it wont be related to the mux. The mux filters are only used when recording (including the recording that happens behind the scenes when in timeshift mode).

Since it you say it only affects some channels, may you've got poor reception one or more transponders?

Thats the often discussed nvidia aspect ratio problem. If you switch to the VMR9 Custom renderer it'll work around this nvidia bug. Alternatively, I think you can disable hardware accelleration in your video decoder.

Yeah, possible or your DVB device is failing to lock onto a channel.
