gb-prv: 0.99.05
CPU: Athlon 900
RAM: 512MB
VID: Radeon 7000
PVR: PVR-350
OS: XP SP2

So far Ive gotten every feature working except live tv. Ive tried the coaxial in and the S-Video in on my pvr-350 and all I am getting is a snowy screen.

Ive attached my logs as well as my config.xml and direct.ini.

Thanks in advance and let me know if there is any other info needed to troubleshoot this.

If you connected via svideo, did you make sure you set you capture source to use the 'svideo' input?

If you see snow, then its trying to use tuner not svideo input.

Ok I may be totally daft but where is this setting? I see a greyed out option on the MVP tab for output, but I cannot change it. Do I need MVP installed?

In the capture source settings, next to the recording source plugin (set to 'Direct Recording Plugin' for you), click the 'settings' button. This is the screen where you set you card type as a PVR350. This screen has a setting to set the input.

Thanks sub, I now can watch tv through gbpvr but I still need to use my sat remote to change channels and manage the volume. i am using the 350 decoder in this setup. if i use the software decoder i get a choppy video.

Ive got my sat output into the s-video in on my pvr-350, the l-r audio into the line in on the 350 and it goes out on the s-video/audio port on the 350. unfortunately with this setup i cannot watch any of my videos or hear music. utube videos play but there is no sound.

After some more reading and fiddling with the settings I now have a somewhat working pvr.

I can view/record live tv, play music & videos, view pictures and everything thing else ive tried.

I still unsure if I can change channels on my hauppague remote (it works for every other feature). Can someone confirm if i can control my starchoice with my pvr remote.

I guess you would need a hauppauge ir-blaster for that. Or maybe a universal remote like the logitech harmony.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.
