By toggling one option, I may figured out why this .avi won't play. It is '25.000 fps'. Should that matter? If I force the 'Output fps' to be 25, then it works. If I leave 'Output fps' at 29.97 it fails.

I tried to attached a screen print, but it was too big.

Basically, when you use MEncoder, it works the best when the input fps and the output fps matches. That's what I have discovered working with content from the world used here in NTSC land.. (29.97)

Am I right assuming you are in PAL land? OK it shouldn't be a problem, but I think that there's a coupld of other problems that are causing trouble. First off, the errors in the log show that ZProcess (and mplayer) are really trying to get the file info for your Enya video, but it's having a lot of trouble. Unless you get a success in the log, I don't doubt you're having troubles...

• Before I go on, I'll wait for you answer on what your standard is (NTSC or PAL) also,
  
  
• what is your Enya Video's Input file FPS.
  
  
• And finally, does this happen on all videos?
  

I'll try and recreate the issue here. BTW. Please recreate the problem again and send the Log, which is in the current day's Backup folder and the ZProcessRegSettings.txt found in the ZProcess folder...

I should say, it's better to zip and attach the logs rather than post the long text...

Part 2

K. So first request, please try one Transcode at a time. 2nd, don't even bother with the MVP until ZProcess behaves working manually...

The screen shot that you supplied shows valid settings. Have you used GSpot and seen what that AVI looks like in there? Anything strange? Maybe a screenshot of that...?

I'll tell you how to clear the log. First, of course you could just delete it, or you could click the 'Utilities' Tab and click Today's log. There you can select all, delete and then save....

I tell you this because I want you to clear the log and then try a couple of tests quite often, and have a look at the logs.

Open ZProcess. Before you load a video, switch to the Transcode tab and select Trans2MVP. Now back to the File tab...

On the File Tab, find the Enya 13 video and double click (or select the video..) You should see a couple of DOS boxes fly across the task bar. (Really should be only one if working :eek: )

Next look at the Log. Are there errors? Either way. Close the log file without changing or deleteing. Then Close ZProcess.

Do that three times with the same enya video, and attach me the log file...

What I should be seeing is a Maxiumum of three errors to load the file. But really there should only be successes. I think the reason we can't get the file info loaded on the first go is the Video is compromised and a little slow to open in a timely fashion.

Either way, hang on to the file. I'd like a copy so I may ask you to send it.

One more question for this phase of troubleshooting, (and thanks for your patience) What are the specs of your computer?

New switch on the Trancode, more tab; at the bottom: Get Input File's FPS; disabled by default. Keeps the input FPS blank. Seems to work in spite of some silly errors on the MEncoder box...

Hey,

the file may corrupted, I didn't make it. Although, Gspot seems to think it is ok. Screen capture attached.

I don't think I tried to transcode two at a time, I tried checking other AVIs.

The log of the three openings is attached. One error, two successes.

Computer specs:

1GB RAM
ASUS A8
4 x SATA drives
Hauppauage USB PVR2
ATI 1900XT

Yes, other files work just fine (such as Air Buddies).
