anyway to prevent computer from going into standby while recording a show? i'm using a family computer w/ multiple computers. sometimes, one person may forget that a show's recording and click start-->shutdown-->standby. seems like that messes up the recording on resume or freezes gbpvr. any way to prevent manual standby?

There is no GB-PVR functionality that will help you with this. GB-PVR tells Windows the system is still in use while recording, which will stop the system going into standby to itself, but a user manually doing this will override this.

I think the easy way is to do 2 things:
  1. Cancel the standby option in the menu (I know it's possible through setting user rights, etc - look it up).
  2. Educate users that the PC goes to standby when it wants.

Or lock it down with a policy so no one can shut it down.
