Sub,

I applied the patches from na-scan-fixed.zip. psiparser.ax is now generating errors in the windows event log.

Faulting application GBPVRRecordingService.exe, version 1.0.2547.27412, faulting module PsiParser.ax, version 0.1.0.0, fault address 0x0000bcf4.

I had a good go at reproducing this over the last half hour or so, but wasnt able to. I tried using some USA transport streams supplied to me last year, but they all seemed to run through the PsiParser without any problems.

Does it only do this on certain channels for you, or all channels?

If it persists, we may need to look at getting you to record a transport stream recording for me, so that I can try it here myself.

I do not record transport stream files. I think it only affects ATSC recordings, not the PVR250 recordings, but I have not tried to figure out what was happening at the time of the crashes. I just find that the recording service is not running and have to restart it, often with a full computer reboot.

I admit that I was lazy and did not back up my original files when I applied the patch. If I delete the patch files, will the installer replace them with the older versions?

Let me see about reproducing the problem.

Ok, I started looking further into my Event Viewer log, and find that psiparser.ax has been faulting going back to at least September 20. The three most recent faults occured at 31, 35 and 44 minutes after the hour (most likely hour long programs). The most recent one was from two days ago, and I do not have any records of what I might have been recording at those times.

I am also getting these socket errors, most often after the psiparser error messages.

I wasnt suggesting you have been recording transport stream files - I was saying that if you want to resolve the problem, then you might need to record me a transport stream file (and throw it on a DVD and mail it to me). I can use a transport stream file to pretend I receive the same broadcasts as you get in your country - allowing me to see the same error myself.
