Hi,

I'm trying to install the latest version of GB-PVR, v1.0.16 on Win XP Pro x64.

During installation I get this error.

"Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files (x86)\devnz\gbpvr\PsiParser.ax failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel."

I have installed ".Net Framework 2.0 (x64)", and installed Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Win XP Pro x64.

Any suggestions why this is failing?

Thanks,
Ben

I think there needs to be a sticky for the PsiParser.ax error as it's quite common.

maybe even just add it to the page i told him to goto that way if you do a search you will find it
but that only works if you use search in the first place Smile

True. At least it's a quick reply and an easy fix.

ok, thanks guys. i certainly searched psiparser.ax, but was looking for a thread title to mention something about it. thanks for the help.

but is the solution to install the Visual C++ redistribution package? Because as a matter of fact I had already had that installed.

This is the one I had installed.

The solution to your problem is described in the 1.0.16 download instructions: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28626. Specifically read the bit about vcredist_x86.zip.

Yeah, it's not the same one because I'm running the 64-bit version of Windows. I've installed the x64 equivalent.

Unless I can somehow install the 32-bit version, I may be out of luck?
