I would love to be able to use Video Skype vie my MVP on my television.

It wont be a feature that I'll be adding, but someone else might create plugin to do this if they're interested.

I would like to second the movement for a skype plugin. My other box runs linux and the latest version of skype for linux does not support video yet. It would be sweet to have video contact with my mother and father in law in Brasil.
