photo viewer to play video

With so much video clips taken with digital cameras, my photo library has a mix of jpg,mov,avi etc it would be really good to be able to play the videos, even if it's just some way to fire up a viewer like acdsee or InfranView which can play the files and have a command line interface.

What happens if you play them now? Perhaps you just don't have a DirectShow decoder setup right to play for those extensions.

I've just tried again. My client doesn't play but the server does, well almost. Although they play when I select individually they don't seem to play when I view them by pressing the left arrow to go to the next picture. If the next one is a video then it skips past to the next picture, and after a few presses it all locked up and I had to kill it.
